Continental-Biospheres is an invite-only Plex server. To get access:
- Create a free account at plex.tv if you don't have one
- Send your Plex username or email to the server admin to receive an invite
- Accept the invite — the server will appear in your Plex sidebar
Setting Up Plex
Plex is available on almost every device. Install it, sign in, and start watching.
1. Download Plex
Get the app for your platform from plex.tv/downloads:
- TV & Streaming — Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Smart TVs
- Mobile — iOS, Android
- Desktop — Windows, macOS, Linux
- Web — app.plex.tv (no install needed)
2. Sign In
Open Plex and sign in with the account you were invited on. The Continental-Biospheres server will appear automatically in your sidebar under "More".
3. Start Watching
Browse the Movies and TV Shows libraries. Everything is organized with metadata, posters, and subtitles. If something you want isn't there, you can request it.
Requesting Content
Use Overseerr to request movies and TV shows to be added to the library.
How It Works
- Go to requests.continental-biospheres.net
- Click Sign In and use your Plex account
- Search for the movie or show you want
- Click Request and pick your preferred quality
Most requests are auto-approved and start downloading immediately. The system will search for the content, download it, add it to Plex, and notify you when it's ready.
TV Shows
When requesting a TV show you can choose to request all seasons or pick specific ones from the dropdown. Only request what you plan to watch.
Checking Request Status
On Overseerr, click your profile icon (top right) then "Requests" to see status:
- Pending — Waiting for approval
- Approved — Downloading
- Available — Ready to watch on Plex
- Declined — Request was declined
Request Limits
| Movies | 10 per week |
| TV Shows | 5 per week |
Limits reset every Monday.
Quality Options
- 4K — Best quality, larger files, requires 4K-capable device
- 1080p — Great quality, works on all devices (recommended)
- 720p — Good quality, fastest downloads
FAQ
How long until my request is available?
Usually 30 minutes to 4 hours for movies. TV series take longer, especially full seasons. Popular content downloads faster.
Can I request something still in theaters?
You can submit the request, but it won't be available until the digital release (typically 45-90 days after theatrical).
My request isn't downloading. What do I do?
Some content isn't available on any sources. If it's been more than 24 hours, let us know and we'll check manually.
Can I cancel a request?
Yes. Go to your profile, click Requests, select the request, and click Delete.
I requested a TV show but only some episodes appeared.
Episodes sometimes download in batches. Give it time, or let us know if episodes are still missing after 24 hours.
Should I request 4K?
Only if you have a 4K TV and streaming device. 4K files are 20-80GB per movie, take longer to download, and Plex may transcode them to 1080p on some devices anyway. When in doubt, stick with 1080p.
Guidelines
This is a shared server. Please be respectful:
- Search the Plex library before requesting — it might already be there
- Only request content you plan to watch
- Be patient with downloads
- Don't request the same thing multiple times
- Don't request full series if you only want one season
- Let us know if you notice issues
